I talked with Coach Paul tonight.  He says thank you for all of your prayers and concern.  Spencer is doing much better.  He has been released and is on his way home from the hospital.  Unfortunately, he has a mild concussion.    He will be out for a few weeks, but thankfully he is doing fine.

Truth pictures are cancelled.  Please arrive at Warren Park #2 by 11:00 AM for Pre-Game Warm-up.  Please be sure to eat a good snack at 10:00 that is packed full of Carbohydrates.  Start drinking water NOW.  Lay off the Juice and Milk or anything that might upset your stomach.  The team needs all of you at 100% today.

Tough game last week.  The coaches have been communicating over the last few days about our game plan for this week.  We will be making a few changes so we need everyone at practice. Thank you for your continued support for the team.

Game 2 TRUTH vs. Sooner 10:00 AM @ Centennial High School

Please arrive at the field by 9:15 AM for pregame warm-up.  We are the visiting team so we will be on the far side of the field.

Practice last night was rained out due to a storm and lightning.  We do have practice tonight and Thursday at 6:00 PM.  Please make every effort to be on time. At the start of practice last night we only had 8 of 18 players.  If it is difficult to be at Bacchus by 6:00 PM perhaps we will push practice back to 6:15.

Please communicate with me your specific situation so I can adjust time and schedule accordingly.

Practice is CANCELLED tonight 9/8/2010.  We will have practice Thursday 9/9/2010 at 6:00 PM in Full pads.  After practice on Thursday we will be handing out player uniforms and present each player special gift.    

Players please watch the Round Robin Scrimmage film on the website. (http://truthfootball.org) 

Friday Sept 10 at 6:00 PM we will have an optional make-up practice to cover special team assignments.  I am still looking for a kicker for point after touchdown kicks and kickoff.  If you can kick, please let me know!  

Our first game is Saturday September 11th at 10:00 am @ Liberty High School.  I have asked Scott Berkey, the youth pastor from Hope Fellowship Church in Frisco to come speak to the boys prior to kickoff.  He will be sharing a Biblical Word of encouragement based on our core TRUTH principles.  If you would like to hear what he has to say please be at Liberty High School by 8:55 AM.  TRUTH game preparations will begin sharply at 9:15 AM.

Our games start at 10:00 am at Heritage High School Football stadium in the rear of the campus.  Please arrive at the field by 9:15.

I will bring team water for the scrimmage.  Please leave your water bottles at home or with your parents and do not bring them on the field.  Please wear your practice TRUTH jersey, practice pants and all your gear. Be sure you have your mouth guard.   

I need someone to run the video camera.  Please let me know if you are available.

Coaches,  DO NOT FORGET YOUR FFL BADGE.  Only players and coaches with FFL badges are allowed on the field and in the track area.

Be sure to show your TRUTH unity by wearing TRUTH Gear.  I will be placing another order on Monday for t-shirts if you have a last minute request.  Please see Missy Crump for details.

I will be collecting helmets after the Round Robin.

Practice Sept 1 is CANCELED.  We will resume the practice schedule on Friday at 6:00 pm @ Bacchus park.

In addition to the previous homework assignment, please watch the film and identify…..

1)  Two things you did well during the scrimmage?

2)  Two things you need to improve on in the next game?

Bring all of your study assignments to practice on Friday. 

You can bring your helmet by Coach Brad’s house tonight for decals if you would like.  Otherwise we will collect helmets on Friday.

I will be collecting helmets after practice this Wednesday to apply the decals.  Please clean your players helmet completely, inside and out.  Remove any scuffmarks and decals.  Disinfect the inside of the helmet with solutions such as Odoban.  Stubborn decals and marks are easily removed with GooGone or Mineral Spirits.  DO NOT use Acetone or fingernail polish remover, this will eat the plastic of the helmet and dull the finish.  Existing TRUTH Decals on returning players helmets should be removed if they are torn, worn or faded.  Otherwise leave them on the helmet.     

If your helmet does not have a black facemask please reply to this email so I can get a replacement mask.  I need the brand and series of the helmet. 

Helmets will be returned to players on Friday before the FFL Round Robin.
